Yeast pitched about 11:00 into wort at 24.5c. Now in the freezer thing set for 22c. Will reduce this to 20c after a day or so.
Collected 23l @ 1.042.
Apart from a forgotten whirlfloc panic  everything went like clockwork.

I would like to point out (for accuracy) that the Indian Takeaway was 16 minutes late!

Three things :
1) what is the thing that looks like a fridge? Is that what you use for fermenting in?
2) Why does picasa say you're in france?
3) HOW DID YOU TAKE THE ASTRONOMICAL PHOTO'S!?
you must live somewhere nice and dark!

These taken from my garden in Surrey with a webcam attached to a telescope.

Those are great.
I don't want to hijack the thread... But briefly.. what is your telescope setup?
I take it it's quite a large reflector? Do you live miles away from a city?
How do you align your scope, manually?

Hi Richard,

The scope is a 10 inch Meade LX200 and the camera is a Philips Toucam II webcam. Alignment is pretty much automatic - it asks you to point it at 3 stars, then just sorts itself out.

I live about 10 miles south of Guildford, so although it's not a really dark sky it's pretty good.

Cheers,

Alasdair
