Trying out cascade

Post by eddnix » Tue Jul 01, 2008 10:31 am

Never tried cascade before and as I didn't have enough for a townes I came up with this:

4.5kg MO
0.45kg Med Crystal

50g Cascade 5.4% 90mins
25g Cascade 10 mins
25g Cascade Steep

S05

Mash is just about done.

That is all :)

In a similar vein to SteveD's Clerical anatomy series, this is the first brew in my deceased musician brews.

The above concoction is to be named Mama Cass-cade.

Parrum-cha!

Good luck with it... Townes IPA is a popular one around here. I go through cyclical phases of loving Cascade, using way too much of it in brews, getting totally sick of it by the end of the second keg, not using it for 6 months, repeat. I love it though, up there with my favourite hops.
