Hi guys,
Started my 2nd ever AG brew this morning, which is as follows:
4.43Kg Maris Otter
Mash at 65 C for 90 mins
45g Challenger (6.5% AA) for 90 mins
15g EKG (4.6% AA) for 15 mins
SO4 yeast.
Was aiming for 67 C originally but I forgot to calculate for my grains being cold from the shed and I got it to 60 C in the tun and a whole kettle of boiling water brought it back to 65 so I guess that will have to do.
Anyway, pics of my progress so far:
Ingredients all ready
Starting to dough in
All wrapped up at 65 C
More to follow as the day progresses

Hey guys,
It is currently 30 minutes into the boil. I have a problem with my home made mash tun manifold as I get stuck mashes sometimes, and the first batch sparge stuck, so it took me a few attempts to get it to finish.
Here are pics of my progress so far:
Collecting first runnings...
... And returning
Nice hot break
First hop additions (right before a boil over, doh!)
Boiling away nicely
A pint of my first AG, Briar's Best, 2 weeks in the corni and lovely
Thanks for the wishes guys, having a fun day so far, will post more photos later

That's me all done and cleaned up. Collected 23L @ 1.042 so my efficiency has increased from 67% to 69% - slowly but surely getting there!!
No cock ups to report, very happy with how it all went.
Here are the remaining pictures, thanks again for all your kind comments
Cooler doing its job
Running off and aerating
Crap at the bottom of the boiler
Lovely yellow wort
Thanks again guys
