Hope it turns out well.

When im writing an epic post i tend to put it into a word file and then when its finished cut and paste it in, prevents the odd mishap oh and even on medium sized posts i'll always copy the contents in the msg box before hitting the preview button just in case especially if it has lots of embedded piccies or links that can't be done in word.

Thanks for the welcome. I have just bottled 24 1/2 ltr bottles of the dark dragon ale and stored the final 1 1/2 gallon in a demijohn until i have emptied one of my sealed units to carboanate the gallon and a half in. Picture of the finished product bottled below alongside its cousin Cave Troll Cider made with apples, honey & Raspberries.

AG does ferment out alot quicker than kit beers (sometimes  ) I like to keep my AG's in primary for at least 10 days regardless of how quickly they ferment just to give the beer time on the yeast to clear out etc.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I cooked this batch about 10 days ago, it just took me a while to post on it. I think it took about 7 days before fermentation was completed with one invigorate around day 4 to make sure all was fermented. Last 3 days were settling. I drank the 100ml from the trial jar after doing final gravity check and its promising, colour is great!

Not sure if this was the 'right' thing to do or not but after bottling my dark dragon ale i had a gallon left over(no bottles left) so it went into a demijohn on water lock for a few days to settle. Once clear i poured it into my 2 gallon PV which had a gallon of belgian trappist triple left in it(Abv of 5.2%). The dark dragon is 7.75% abv. It has been chilling and forced carbonating for a couple of days and the results are better than any single brew i have made!

SWMBO(man i LOVE that acronym) thinks it's ace!

Really nice and the 'new' beer flavours in the dark dragon ale have been mellowed by the trappist triple. I'd serve this to any of my mates. Anyone not yet willing to step up to corrnies and seperate fridges could do a lot worse than to look out for 2nd hand beer machines on ebay and use as PV's......... Cheers!!
