Scottish 80 shilling Twist

1st off sorry no pictures on this one. I've been madly busy making a mash tun and licqour heater to get myself a 5 gallon 3 tier system on the cheap. Finished the build yesterday in anticipation of my guiness clone ingredients arriving today. ARRGGHH realised last night that my paypal payment did not go through so no ingredients today. Luckily i had a brupaks scottish 80 shilling in the spare bedroom so it got the vavaovoom with the addition of.

200g wheat malt
150g pale crystal malt
300g vienna malt
Above mashed and sparged(pathetic at those amounts i know but i've got my new tun to test!
30g of challanger hops(15g on the 1/2 hour wort boil and 15g for aroma during the final 10 minute boil 20 minute cool down along with kit supplied malt&hop bag.

Gave the kit yeast a quick start with some wort and a tablespoon of sugar and transfered to my two 1 gallon brown demijohns.

Oh just 1 photo then! As you can see there is a definete LME border from the kit extract, as yet no activity at the top but its only been a couple of hours

Looking forward to the morning to check and hopefully get my guiness clone on the go, full 5 gallon batch. Cheers! :D Great fun and confidence growing alll the time now.
