One Kegged one started

Post by Damfoose » Tue Aug 05, 2008 9:18 pm

I kegged my Best of British Yorkshire Bitter on Saturday kept it in the house for 2 days and shifted it into the garage best thing is its cooling down at the moment so I am having some good feelings about getting gas into the beer and not having all the gas at the top,
I could not wait any longer so I have poured very carefully a half off it, its cloudy but that's to be expected it tastes great all hoppy and malty with a slight sweetness to it , it is also absorbing the gas nicely :D , A few weeks in the garage and I think its going to be a really good brew only problem I start a few weeks off on Monday and I think temptation is going to get the better of me  it is to be expected with it being my first brew does any one manage to let the first ever get past a few weeks before its gone

Started a Milestone IPA Sunday and its bubbling nicely as well so I am having good feelings about that one \:D/

Next brew day pictures will be forth coming...

Speaking for myself, "No". Every beer is tasted while in the fermenter and then regularly after racking to the keg. A few weeks is mature in my book

Seriously though, they do improve with age
