Good luck fella!

(you only need to sanitise kit which comes into contact with the beer after boiling BTW)

Have a good one effigy. Looks like you're well prepared. I keep meaning to get a gazebo, it always comes on to rain near the end of the boil!

If you're brewing outside a fine mesh over the boiler is a good idea. Its amazing how many flying insects meet their maker in the boil!

Nice recipe btw! A single variety brew with Goldings never fails to hit the spot.

Just a suggestion but in your plan you say heating up your strike water to 75c.

If you check the temp of your mixed grain you can adjust the temp of your strike water so as to hit your 66c mash temp.

Just a thought. Have a great day :D

Great setup - hope it's going well for you. Gotta love the flying insects brewing outside - bit of extra protein in the boil...

And off we go!

Started the process at 6:45am - have just reached the end of the boil and will be letting it stand for 30 minutes. Time to sort a few more pictures out then.

Glad I put the Gazebo up - its pee'd down most of the morning!

Back in a bit. :D

OK, a few pics:
Doughing in. I should have done this more evenly and steadily. It was quite thick and I had a fair bit of stirring to do to even it out.

Second runnings.

The boil. My heater brought the wort up to the boil quite quickly, considering how cool it is this morning.

As things stand now. Letting it stand for 30 mins to let the hops settle, then it will be in with cooler.

Final pictures a bit later.

This is great!
