First time I've done a beer in probably six months.
Cooper's Lager, 500g Light DME, 500g Glucose, 30g steeped Goldings (only hops I had to hand), supplied yeast.
Pics to follow.

Important things first, my helper:
Yeast starter on the go:
DME and glucose at the front, can softening at the rear:
Final rinse of the FV:
Hop sock steeping:
Aeration complete:
Went smooth as butter until it came to pitching the yeast, took forever to get down to temperature due to the hops liquor, so I went and picked the wife up from work while waiting for it to get down to 32 degrees.

Got a bit excited in the night.
Wife came down this morning to a scene from The Blob.

Hope all went well CB. No doubt you'll be knocking up some Coopers Lager/TC snakebites

This is what the kit's done since the wife cleaned it up at about 08:00.
Smells gorgeous, when SWMBO's not lighting fragrant candles to mask the "stench".
Women. Best smell in the world and she's trying to hide it.
Not thought of snakebite...

Nice work, CB. Try not to let it get too hot, though - 20C is warm enough.

Central heating's not been on for months. Might have to put it outside if it stays that warm...

Came home from the inlaw's this evening and it was still 26 degrees, and that's from yesterday.
It went straight in a sink of cold water and ice and it's now down to 22.5 degrees.
Will leave it in over night at this rate.

vigourous ferments can produce a lot of heat
