Righto -
Here's what i spent sunday morning doing. 1st Extract brew, wont be going back to kits now as had so much fun and *think* it'll turn out well.

Here's my ingredients; the recips began life as a california commons style beer but sort of changed due to the yeast i used - I could'nt get it down to correct pitching temp for lager yeast -
8oz Crystal Malt
2oz Northern Brewer (3/4 at the start of boil, the leftover divided and added at 40 mins and at end)
2 Tins Brupaks Pale Malt Extract
1 pack US-05 Yeast

Grains Steeping....

At rolling boil so hops in....

....and some more...smells pretty good now, really hoppy.

Wort in FV, Outside, in bin with cold water. Didnt do much in all fairness. Brought it back inside and let it cool naturally. Took overnight. Then pitched yeast yesterday morning, and its still bubbling away nicely now.
Smells ok, not sure how it'll turn out though. Won't be CC but hopefully will be nice all the same. When i know what it tastes like, I'll name it. looking quite Red at the moment, a nice oclour actually.
Thanks to Mysterio for helping me along with the recipe. Couldnt have done it without ya, mate.
