Mash is on hit the temp perfect 67C.

Have 20 min left before batch sparging, Hops are weighed out and ready pics will follow later in the day after I have resized them and thrown them up to photobucket.
Kegged it Brewery is well and truly in buisness...
Ooops

Just found out I need a bigger mash tun

The Brupacks one is a little to small for batch sparging... SWMBO agrees so new tun to be constructed

Mash finished nicely got 33.5 litres to boil, Taking ages to get to the boil due to the cool day and only having one element almost their though.
Boil has started hops bunged in time for a pint.
Boil finished and wort cooled properly threw in the styrans at 80C I think as my thermomiter decided to do daft things wort does not get to 160c as far as I know

time for a new digital thermomiter not bad considering this is only my second Ag brew.
Checked the gravity hit 1050 a little lower than planned but not to shabby , The wort itself is really nice and clear as i left it in the boiler for 40 min to have my dinner so most of the trub settled nicely. Not a bad day tbh will throw pics up later.

After 2 days a huge crustation has formed and this thing is trying to crawl out of the bucket, The Bubbler looks like it has been half filled with foam, Took the 2 days to get going properly smells great as well.

Update after 3 days fermenting I took a sample for a gravity reading and this has fermented down to 1014 already from 1050. Plan is to drop it into a second fermenter and leave it for a week so it should drop clear. Swift taste gives a very even ballance nice malty taste followed by the hopy flavour. I am expecting this to be a good brew.

Update, Just checked the gravity its down to 1010 so I have racked the brew to a second fermenter to hopefully clear itself up over the next few days.
4 Days from 1050 to 1010 is very fast seeing as the brew was held at 21C through out its fermentation, I did notice the Nottingham was in huge snowflake clumps as well when I was racking off to the second FV at forst I thaught it was infected due to the large clumps at the top of the FV

but then noticed what it was.
