Well all the cornies are emty and work is hectic, but I decided I must do another couple of brews in the next day or two.
Tonight when I got in from work the boiler went on, after I fitted a disk of stainless gauze over the bottom as my hop strainer has clogged on the last 2 brews. Themash has 10 min left to go ad then its sparge time.

I am doing a 27ltr batch so I can fill a cornie and have some bottles as well, its a mix of malts as I ave some GP left and the rest will be MO with a little wheat malt and some light crystal for colour, although I might try reducing a ome of the first runnings like others have done.

27 ltr

1.6kg GP
3.8kg MO
0.2kg Wheat Malt
0.16kg Light Crystal

76deg strike, adjusted to mash at 66-65deg 90 min.

65g Bobek 4%AA 90 min
28g Fuggles 5.5%AA 90min
20g EKG 4.2%AA 15min
35g Bobek 80deg steep

Good luck with it. Have you tried Bobek before? I used them for the first time on my TTL a couple of days ago - we'll see how they go.

I used Bobek on my last TTL clone, with hindsight I may reduce the amount of Bobek for both bittering and aroma as the last brew was far hoppier than TTL although you could taste the similarities.

Well it was a late finish 23:20. I slightly overshot the volume and collected just over 28ltr @ 1.042

The overshoot on the volume might have been due to the gauze I used as a false bottom over the existing hop strainer which stopped the trub blocking the strainer and leaving more behind in the boiler.
I ended up reducing the Styrians (Bobek) to 50g 90min and 18g 80deg steep as the AA was higher in this batch and I wanted to make slightly less "in your face"
