Brewed the following recipe on Saturday (thanks to Paul at Barley Bottom for the recipe):
Grain:
4.00kg Pale Malt, Maris Otter (91.74%)
0.2kg Crystal Malt (4.59%)
0.15kg Torrified Wheat (3.44%)
0.01kg Roasted Barley (0.23%)
Hops:
48g East Kent Golding (90mins) Hops 29.8 IBU
10g East Kent Golding (15mins) Hops 3.2 IBU
25g Stryian Goldings (1min) Hops 0.6 IBU
Safeale S04
The H&G 10g setup before the chaos ensues:

Cheking the temp of the Sparge Water (should have got dressed but it was before 10am
)

Mash Tun all wrapped up at 66 deg C, only lost 1 degC over the mash:

PH of the Mash - About 5.3 - Water treatment must have helped out!

The Sparge:

First Runnings:

Spare time during the heat towards boil:

Extra Insulation while geting towards boil:

All done:

Missed my final volume by almost 4 litres due to a miscalculation in my sparge volumes. After 2 days its down to 1022 but slowing rapidly. Hopefully it gets down to 1012 or around there!
