Brewing Alconbury Old with rehydrated yeast

Hi,
I wanted to document my first brew using a yeast starter as opposed to my first brew that used the sprinkle method, unfortunately my camera was playing up and so the pictures never got taken. However rehydrating my Yeast in water at 35C for 10min and then pitching into a spray malt solution that had been aerated using an electric latte mixer. (Mother of invention).
I bottled it in a small demijon and left for 36 hours. It was bubbling away quite nicely when I finally pitched it into the wort. had some trouble because I boiled the wort for 10min with a bag of hop pellets and it took ages to cool it down as I have not yet sourced/made a wort chiller yet. That was last night and I came down this morning to find to my delight the FV lid filled out with a nice domed bulge and the lock bubbling like a train.
I was so impressed that I had to take a picture and share the joy.

I have never rehydrated my yeast before and as you can tell was very happy with the result. Perked my interest in this yeasty thingy and I have learnt a hell of a lot that I never know about yeast. Keep up the good work everyone and keep those tips and advise coming.
A very grateful born again brewer
Lets see how this one turns out....
