Brewed this up to day another Imperial stout
Cú Chulainn's Revenge

US-05 and Nottingham...greedy. What sort of flavour profile does this yeast combo ad Oblivious? Also how would you phonetically pronounce the title? Looks a good recipe as always.

There is not really a whole lot of flavor form either, but they do have good alcohol tolerance and the roasted grain will provide all the flavor thats needed

According to the legendary Shane MacGowan, it would be pronounced Coo-Cull-Inn ;
At the sick bed of Cuchulainn we'll kneel and say a prayer
And the ghosts are rattling at the door and the devil's in the chair
Excellent song! Dunno much about th Irish history bit though.

Cú Chulainn is a mythological hero of ours and I too was wondering about the low efficiency Ob.

Interesting grist makeup there, is the recipe based on anything you have sampled?

Hi lads, the low efficiency is because I was doing a no sparge brew. I have a lot of munch and Vienna lying around and want to something a little different to my last imperial stout

Cúchulainn was Ulster's champion. He performed many great feats and eventually saved Ulster from the combined army of the other provinces led by Maeve of Connaught. The only possible vengeance I could imagine would be towards Scathach, the Warrior-Queen of Skye. More on him here:

Either Coo-cull-in or coo-hull-in. Cúchulainn was Ulster's champion. He performed many great feats and eventually saved Ulster from the combined army of the other provinces led by Maeve of Connaught. Some say it produce a richer beer, but I have never qualified that my self. I just did it because I could hit my target volume,gravity and I did not have room for a second beer

It would be intresting if you did the same recipe with different methods of sparging to see if there was any difference in the final product.
