After talking to the head brewer 2 weeks ago i`m going to attempt another go at this,
he wouldn`t tell me the exact recipe but gave me the hop schedule i should be going for,
they use Challenger in their brew but i only have Boddicea so i`m doing it with that.

The recipe i`m brewing is this.
3500g MO Pale Malt
170g Crystal
25g Boddicea (AA 5.6%) 60mins IBU`s 14.61
30g Boddicea (AA 5.6%) 30mins IBU`s 13.88
20g Boddicea (AA 5.6%) 20mins IBU`s 7.3
Protafloc @ 20 mins
Safale S04 Yeast

He was saying that the total IBU should be between 36 and 38.

I`m off back up walking up there tomorrow so he said he would show me round the brewery :D
might try and pry some more info out of him.

We've got a wedding to go to in the lakes, I'm really looking forward to it due to the chance of sampling more of that lovely Bluebird :)

I had another sup of my Extract version...Its a Bit thin!!! I'm thinking I may have made a mistake with my Dilution after the boil.
I lost a lot to Boil-off and hops, being my 3rd only extract brew I didn't have my volumes sorted, and ended up with about 4 Litres less than I wanted so did all the calculations for Gravity, Temp and used the Dilution calculator to let it down in the FV.
I might have been better opting for a Higher Gravity and leaving well alone, my lass will have lots of Shandy to drink :)
