Knocked up this extract brew this morning based on an amalgamation of Black Country Mild recipes:
Light Spraymalt 2Kg
Crystal Malt 225g
Black Malt 90g
Brewing Sugar 200g
Fuggles hops 39g
Pitched with S-04 yeast
Beer Engine predicts 3.6% ABV, 22 EBU, colour 58 EBC. The smell of those Fuggles hops really takes me back down memory lane

I got my third extract brew done yesterday afternoon

Calculated at 22.5L.

Good stuff

I ordered enough ingredients for two brews but I need to wait until I've got another empty barrel which will probably be the end of this month. Assuming it's not too warm to brew by then I'll knock up a generic bog-standard bitter.

I think I've got enough left for maybe 3 small 12-ish litre brews (thats 1 brew every two weeks)

, after that I think I'll have to get an order in to BrewGenie for some DSM, though i might try the Brupaks Pale LME too (the Coopers Light LME, though cheaper, is pretty dark and changes the colour of the beer a lot).
What are you planning next??

As well as the Fuggles I've got some Goldings so I'll do a generic bitter. This is a bit dependent on the weather though. It'll be about a month before I've got an empty keg so fingers crossed we don't get a heat wave. Come the cooler weather and I've got lots of ideas

Kegged today. Got FG of 1.009 which is bang on what Beer Engine predicted. Tasting sample shows much promise

Nice one

Clever little Beer Engine, it has to be the easiest and most straight forward of any Beer Software.

Yes it's excellent.
