Brew number 5...

Fermentables:
Malt Extract Syrup Pale 1510g
Crystal Malt 350g

Hops:
Fuggle 60 mins 15g
Golding 60 mins 13g
Fuggle 10 mins 9g

Final Volume: 12 Litres
Original Gravity: 1.043
Final Gravity: 1.010
Alcohol Content: 4.3% ABV (I'm making it with 3 extra Litres, it should be 5.7%)
Total Liquor: 16.6 Litres
Bitterness: 33 EBU

I'm just about to run it off the boiler into the FV before cooling in the bath, Yeast is s-04 and is rehydrating as I type :)

That's a brew that's on my (very long) to-brew list although I'll probably brew it to about 5% ABV. Hope it all goes well for you.

Cheers :) I've never tried this beer but it certainly sounds nice.
...after a quick temperature and hydro check I've actually come the closest I've ever been to getting the correct SG and volume in the FV :)
On top of what Beer Engine said my total Liquor would be I added 1.5 Litres for Hop and trub losses, maybe I've cracked it :) :)

I don't find Beer Engine's way of calculating losses to be of much use as evaporation losses are closer to being a fixed amount per unit time than a percentage of the wort volume. For my boiler that's a litre every 20 minutes. Losses to hops are dependent on hop weight. A loss of 1.5 litres/100g hops seems about right from the measurements I've made. So what I do is calculate these myself.

I'll probably stick to a bit of educated guess work, I'm not too fussed so long as I don't stray too far off what I intended :)
I'll bear that 1.5L to 100g hops in mind though, taa :)

:) My Old Speckled Hen's been in the bottles for 2 weeks now but I've still got a load of kit beer to get through first.

I'm having the same issue here, quite a lot of the 'Geordie Lager Kit + Wheat DSM, Golden Syrup, Saaz Hops & Wheat yeast' left, its beer and its drinkable... but there is better tasting in the house!!

Lager's easy - just pour it down the sink ;) Having foolishly tasted some of my extract brew I was nearly tempted to pour my kit beer down the sink but I decided to just grin and bear it. I've got about 1/2 a barrel of Milestones Lions Pride and about 20 litres of Burton Bridge Summer Ale in PET bottles. That lot should see me though until about August after which I'm onto my extract beer :)
