Love brewing on a Fri night with the lads and a load of homebrews!

I did Cascade brew a few weeks back and put 36g in at the last 10 mins. Man am I excited about this one. It tastes amazing already. Absolutely bursting with flavoursome energy!

I used pretty much the same recipe except

Magnum 13 % 12g @60 min
Perle 7 % 1g @ 60min
cascade 30g @ 10 min
cascade 60g @ 1 min

Sample didnt actually taste that nice, im sure itll mature and be lovely though

That looks like a good recipe! Gotta love UK-05 for it's clean flavors. I need to get some. The last three beers I brewed were all White Labs English strains. Two of 'em are in secondary fermentation mode, while the last one is still fermenting and stinks. The Premium Bitter strain really pumps out sulfurous odor reminiscent of a night out on the ale with a late night curry.

I threw my toys out of the pram on this brew after realising that the immersion chiller was once again leaking into the boiler (this time it was the hoselock fitting). I've put some in a fermenter anyway but i'll be very surprised if it isn't ruined considering the hideous amount of water that went into it. Oh and the pellets did for my homemade hopstopper (two stainless steel seives, cobbled together).
On the list of things to do is bite the bullet and get a long legged immersion chiller that can't leak into the boiler and to make a proper hopstopper from the stainless mesh i bought ages ago.

On a side note, this forum is just too damn addictive and im super busy (and stressed) at work at the moment, something has to give so im going to take a bit of a sabbatical from Jims for a while. I'll still be brewing but i just won't be be spending as much time reading and posting about it.
Happy brewing, Delboy :D

I'm on here pretty much everyday reading and sometimes commenting. If I didn't work in IT I wouldn't be able to get on here anywhere near as much.

All good fun.

My SNPA by the way has been 2 weeks in the keg.
