I saw someone using a similar thing made of wood and seeing as I'm crap with wood went for the copper option.
The Foker 8kwh burner uses around 0.6 kg per hour.
A 19kg bottle will last for approx 30hrs so maybe 5 brews or more! Or £3.80 per brewday.
Or 12p a pint. Better value if using a larger pot and more wort perhaps.

£3.80 a brew sounds OK, I wonder how much the electricity would cost to boil the same brew?
Is the burner noisy?

It does produce a certain amount of noise, but I get some reassurance that the flame has not gone out which is good.
I'm using a 0.5-1 bar regulator turned down to 0.5 which is slightly over the recommended pressure.
Will put a 37mb regulator on it when I sell the brewery though.
