No matter how good the party is, I'm always depressed and hung over the day after. My beer is all gone, so it's time start brewing again. The beer in the picture is my summer ale. It's just Maris Otter and Belgian Pilsner Malt, 50/50. Hopped with Amarillo and Magnum. Yeast is White Labs, Premium Bitter. I may have to brew this again and just force carbonate it. It's a great pint. I can, and would drink gallons of it, especially when it's hot. No sparkler on this one. Beer comes out of the corny with a good head. I still get some fobbing out of the swan neck. I believe this is do the diameter of the tube inside the keg. It's only 1/4 inch. I am thinking about putting a bigger diameter stainless tube in the keg. Probably 1/2 inch. But I don't know if it's worth doing. Beer pulls fine, just heady. As long as the slop tray is clean, I don't have a problem with topping off someones pint with the slops.

The chicken is Tequila Lime Chicken. It's marinated in tequila, orange juice, lime juice, onions, cilantro(coriander), olive oil, garlic, red chili. We ate it with corn on the cob, that I basted with a chipolte glaze. It was good, but I would have rather eaten the chicken with some killer Mexican rice, beans, and tortillas. Oh well, fun times anyway.

That's your mistake. If you have a party, people are going to drink your beer! Lasts much longer if you don't tell anyone about it.

Nice setup you have there Whorst, someday I would like to have a proper hand pump like that. When my house was built, I really should have insisted that a wet bar be included however I lost that negotiation so I have no place to put the equipment required. I have a spare room that I could turn into a man cave but I would have to build it out myself and my woodworking skills are problematic at best. I am somewhat surprised that you have enough friends there in California that like cask conditioned ales served in the traditional manner. Most non-beer geek folks I know here in Texas would not even think of drinking that flat, warm British beer.

Quick question, whats that blue jacket round the cornie in the first pic? Is that to keep it cool?

The blue jacket is made out of wetsuit material. I have the line and the keg insulated. Works wonders.

Surprisingly, my lady's girlfriends all seem to like it because it's not gassy. In summer I serve all my ales at 50F, which is close to
cellar temperature. I find that a lot of people, once they taste it, actually really enjoy it.
