Shamed into my first brew day this year......

Hello all, this is my first post on here I think. And so I decided to post a couple of pics of my beer which I started off today. I've been very lazy this year and only brewed wine and my last batch of beer was finished in January.
Having been forced to drink a tin of Carling Black Label which I found in the fridge, I felt ashamed enough to kick off a home brew. It's a kit which I've had on the shelf for a few months - Milestone Olde Home Wrecker. A nice dark winter ale which I'm hoping will be matured and at it's best in time for Christmas.

This is the malt being dissolved in the boiling water

And this is the wort ready to go. I've made it up to about 38 pints - erring on the side of caution as I over diluted my last brew and I want this one to be a nice flavour packed winter ale for Christmas.
Has anyone brewed this kit? Any comments?
Cheers!
Damian
