My second attempt at the same recipe... everything has gone pretty well so far (fixed my mash tun which had far too few and small holes causing a stuck sparge) and hopefully fixed my boiler which had a similar problem. It's been boiling for about 30 mins now (an hour to go).
Quick question, the mash temp started at 65 degrees and finished at 60 degrees after 90 minutes. Not great
How will this affect my bear?
Also, what's the best way of improving the insulation of my £7 ASDA mash tun? I did cover item in quite a few rugs, but still got this rather large temp drop.
Thanks!
