Born to be Mild

Post by pokerswazi » Sat Sep 19, 2009 11:03 am

This is my first attempt at totally winging a recipe through Beer engine. I read up a little about the malts and then just threw them into the engine. Hopefully it is drinkable.

Fermentables: For a 22 litre brew

3300g Mild Ale Malt
400g Roasted Barley
150g Chocolate Malt (pale)
150g Crystal Malt
100g Brown Malt
50g Flaked Barley

Hops: 60min boil for 20 EBU

Sovereign Hops (Alpha 5.6%)

Targets:

Final volume 22 litres
O.G. 1.040
F.G. 1.013
Alchahol 3.5% abv
Mash Efficiency 75%
Colour 228 EBC

ho, hum. holding thumbs...

Watching with interest, I've got some mild malt and am looking for inspiration.
