Had a bit of an impromtu brew day yesterday to use a load of bits up (hence the name) -
For 23L
Mashed @ 64 to thin the flavour out a bit:
3.00 kg Pale Malt, Maris Otter (5.9 EBC) Grain
0.55 kg Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L (118.2 EBC) Grain
0.50 kg Aromatic Malt (51.2 EBC) Grain
0.45 kg Munich Malt (17.7 EBC) Grain
0.40 kg Caramunich Malt (110.3 EBC) Grain
0.20 kg Carafa I (663.9 EBC)
(Couldn't get the kitchen sink in the mash tun)
it looks like it'll be a malt-bomb, but some homegrown Target should balance that out, with some added spicyness from the Challenger.
Hops
90 min 30.00 gm Target [11.00 %] (90 min) Hops
10 min 20.00 gm Challenger [6.80 %] (10 min) Hops
Lobbed in a sachet of S-04 after cooling and its now fermenting at about 19 deg C
Bit of a 'suck it and see' barrel of splodge, this one, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
