Jeez Gazza.....you're rocking and rolling here....

Lots of very interesting sounding beers coming out of the Smiff Brew Shed...

Just add a splash of milk!! :)
Aren't Bran Flakes just moulded mushed up Husks?

Wish I was getting a brew on!!! Hmm! Conditioning cupboard would be too full if I did! #-o

Interesting Sounding or just different, unusual, uncommon, unique maybe even avant garde.

I'm looking at it from the point of view, "I'll do it so you don't have to" also in the hope that one day I'll stumble over a great beer.

It is also the fear of brewing a beer from a book that does not taste anything like it should, this way I create my own bench mark ,learning curve or Monster.

Mushed up Husks? they defo mushed up, but thanks to the malts they stayed in the grain bed.

The only down side of this brew was its lighter than intended colour ,albeit dark.

Smells, Super malty sweet this morning, one thing I did notice and have not had this for a while was the soporific affect of the hops , the Northdown hops knocked me for Six, great sleep last night but a bit groggy right now.

UPDATE:

just had a quick snifter ( 1 pt) and I am more than happy with this brew for a 6 day old brew.

Nice Roast Barley and hope tingle, only down side at this point that I can detect is its a tad light in the colour department for a Black beer.
Time to get the Octopuss out!

just xfrd to the 2ndary FV.

It has a Meaty Marmite type Tang! which is quite nice, albeit strange at first.

any one else get that with Dark beers?
