IN THE SHED 8th DECEMBER ( HOLE-SMIFF )

Bonjour, Hola, Bon Giorno, Guten Tag, Ni hao, Hello, Blah Blah Blah...

This evening I brew!

3 kg Larger Malt
600 gm Flaked Maize
300 gm Crystal Malt
300 gm Roast Barley
250 gm Jumbo Porridge Oats
100 gm Choc Malt
50 gm Black Malt

Mash @ 50º for 30 mins
Mash @ 72º for 30 Minsx2

30 gm NorthDown 7.6% @ 60mins
20 gm Pilgrim 9.4% @ 60mins

100gm Molasses sugar @ 15min
150gm White Sugar @ 15min

1 Teaspoon ProtaFloc as usual @ 15 min
1 Teaspoon Yeast Nutrient as usual @ 15 min

30 Pilgrim 9.4% @ FO

Yeast= S-33

SG=1056º

and a small amount of Luck and Karma I saved up from being a nice person. :=P

Looking like oil :lol:

Sounds good, a nice complex mix of malt flavours.
No late hops for a bit of extra interest?

oH YEA, HOPS TO COME!

Come on you know me( ish) I make it up as I go along, planning on adding some 100gms Molasses sugar and some more Pilgrim to the end AND a S-33 :shock:

Its Just got down to 20º and pumping to FV1. The Pre Sugar wort is givng me 1050 @ 34º Ill post the final in 10 or so mins.

Looks SO Thick , yeasts in, no turning back now.


Just as a pasing comment the Idea may have came from me eating a Bannana and by chance having a Black beer at hand :)


Brave maybe, Bold or Stupid, I'll let you know.

Down TO 1020, Quick sample, MM very nice Nice Smokey hint but not a lot of the Yeast showing through.

Hello, its down to 1015 and it's nice easy drinking.
Will leave it in FV2 and keg when a Corney is avaliable, not expecting that to be too long now.
