about 1 ft of snow outside and still snowing
so far so good, mash at 150F for 60 mins
batch sparge, cant get to hose so will have to leave overnight to chill

You could always put the beer outside in the snowbank to chill :aarh:

It's a proven method, except I brought the snow to the wort rather than taking the wort to the snow! :)

I did try this before and it didnt work, the snow bank created an insulator and the wort stayed hot, I could of left it outside with the temps we get but it was getting late and after a few drinks, i would of forgot about it, my back porch stays at 50-55f at this time of year, and so behold first thing this morning the wort was at 64f, aereate a bit more and pitched
I ended up with 16 liters at 1.062
One of these days I will take pics and get them on here
