Hello,

I put my 1st brew of 2010 on yesterday, used the malt mill I got for chrimbo too 8) My thoughts for this beer were for a light golden coloured, dry finishing, floral/spicy hopped impact session strength ordinary bitter, with yeast interest.

Ingredients
23L@70% efficiency, 90min mash @ 65°C, 90min boil, liquor: GW dry pale ale
Amount Item Type % or IBU
4.32 kg Maris Otter (5.9 EBC) Grain 98.00 %
0.09 kg Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L (120.0 EBC) Grain 2.00 %
55.00 gm Willamette [3.70 %] (90 min) Hops 25.4 IBU
40.00 gm Willamette [3.70 %] (1 min) Hops 0.7 IBU
1 Pkgs British Ale (White Labs #WLP005) Yeast-Ale

Beer Profile
Measured Original Gravity: 1.043 SG
Est Final Gravity: 1.011 SG
Estimated Alcohol by Vol: 4.24 %
Bitterness: 26.2 IBU
Est Color: 10.8 EBC

Got 3 more OG points than I planned but then 1st own crush I couldn't tell what extraction I'd get. It started fermenting after 4 hours, can't wait to try it now!

48hrs in and at 1.016. Yeast flavour really evident in the murky sample :)

:)
I've Just bottled a cloudy beer (it will settle but I wanted to make sure I had some viable yeast for carbonation).
