Man, been drinking in San Diego for most of the afternoon. Cask and Proper Real Keg were in abundance. I managed to chronicle my latest brewing adventure on Friday. I have NEVER seen a yeast ferment like WLP-007. From 1.060 to who knows what in a couple of days. It's slowed down significantly within the last day. Enjoy this special film.

Good vid. I also liked the fact that you dissed CraigTube, I did once try to get across that you could make better beer if you added malt extract instead of sugar, his reply was that it was too expensive. #-o

If I want to drink alcoholic dish water I'd go out and buy carlsberg.

Proper Real Keg is a pun of sorts. I started the name largely due to people who think there is no beer beyond cask ale. My definition, Proper Real Keg is a beer that has been lightly filtered and not pasteurized. Most US craft beer is Proper Real Keg. Home brewed beer that's served in a corny keg also qualifies.

I just checked the gravity on this. I pitched early Friday afternoon. It went from 1.060 to 1.014 in about three days!! I imagine it will drop a few more points. Big time tropical fruit aroma and flavor. I'm sold on WLP-007. Very fast, brings out hops.

Great job Whorst.
Quickie: How are you filtering all those hops out of the boil?

I start a whirlpool and wait about a half hour. Then, I siphon off the side of the kettle. I use pellets, so they get mixed up with all the trub.

Am I the only forumite who looks at all of Whorst's post without necessarily reading them?
