AG18 Fullers London Porter

Prep'd my grist & liquor last night and I'm 45mins into a 90min mash; cuppa tea and bacon/egg butty.

I'm using Wyeast 1968 for this one, my first Wyeast and the starters looking good.

All going smoothly and should get an early finish too; I think the pre-prep really makes it a lot easier

It's good to be back

You spoke too soon Mark; the tap on my copper has developed a dribble; possibly due to an over zealous flame.

The garage reeks of burnt malt, I'm hoping i won't loose that much in the grand scheme of things..

Well well, a self healing copper! =D> =D>

The sizzling wort must have plugged the gap in fibre washer, no more leaks...for now!

That said; this will be the last brew in my current setup as it's time for a re-vamp/overhaul/replacement; got my eye on something a bit special

I'm also out of pale malt so the timings perfect

All went well but I ended up with 2l too much so have made a starter that I'll bottle into pep bottles, happy days...
