Finally, with AG#1 (Swallow and Swift Summer Supper) in the FV foaming away (and with pics!), I've got round to uploading AG#2. This is the latest version of the Thornbridge Raven ale, which was modified by my mentor 'Fuse' into his Jackdaw brew (best ale I've ever tasted), which I have now re-modified into 'Carrion Dark Ale'.
6.4kg MO
0.1kg CHocolate wheat malt
16.4L Mash vol @ 68°C Image

30g:10g:30g Chinook:Amarillo:Columbus - 90min
10g:10g:10g Chinook:Amarillo:Columbus - 60min
30g:10g:30g Chinook:Amarillo:Columbus - 15min
25g Amarillo - 0min
30min steep (didn't wait until 80°C, does this mean less aroma?)
Chill for 45 min (whilst I pick up take-away curry!)
Pour off upto 4 gal. Image
Sprinkle 1 sachet of Nottingham yeast and try and cram lid on (bit of overflow with foamy head, but wiped off the side and lid on okay!)
Hydrometer reading says 1.071. Image
I've set my efficiency at 70% based on Fuse's calculations, however, seems I'm geeting a bit more, :D
Twins happily in bed. =D> Image
All being well, will check AG#1 on Wes/Thurs and maybe bottle at w/e.
Will leave AG#2 for a few more days.
Will get AG#3 up and running on Sunday, so watch this space. Thinking about 100% MO, and late hopped Bobek for a lightish floral IPA, what do you think?
Cheers,
Gothamite

Looks good mate.

You can loose the need for the towel if you attach a bit of syphon tubing to the tap.
