northumberland brown ale

just going to start a northumberland brown ale and just wondered is it best to keg it or bottle it i usually keg stouts and non gassy beer
i usually just bottle lager and cider but if its suppose to be similar to newcastle brown im thinking might be best bottled

Hi Toolbag,

I'm guessing your're using the Northumberland Brown kit, rather than an all grain recipe?

One of my mates has sudden inspiration to start brewing, so I've been helping out, and their first brew has been Northumberland Brown..... going to bottle approx 25 bottles and one 5L cask.... might even do 2 5L casks and a few less bottles....

Not a fan of casking, as I like to build up a collection although 100+ bottles take some storing and are tedious to clean.... with something like Northumberland Brown I'd suggest batch priming with 70g sugar disolved in 150ml boild water and cooled to around 25C

it does but decided to put it all in kingkeg as i have put a lager on to brew and will bottle the lager

i always use kits as dont have the time to brew from grain or the space really seems time consuming from what i ahve read about it
i have 2 king kegs and 100 bottles
