Why do you think it'll take 6 months? Or am I missing something obvious

Done a bit of reading (Designing Great Beers). Early porters used to be made by blending ales of different ages. One example of, if my recall is right, they would blend 3 month with 6 month of brown ales. I've not gone the whole hog and I am doing it in one shot. So the time is really there to allow the harsh edges of the brown and pale choc malts to mellow. And l so I think it's a fair wedge of hops at 6 ish aa, sensitive sole me.

But then I mite be missing the obvious too. It may not take that long. The only way to really tell is to, um test on a weekly bases. That was ment to be a joke, but it still seems to happen.

You need to keep the tests regular all right, for scientific reasons you understand ;)
