It'll be quite a slow fermentation at 1ºC.

Well and truly bodged this one - I must get some scales for Xmas. I was using my 2 litre jug to measure out my Pale Malt. I thought each jug was 1.8kg - its not its 1.2Kg.

So my OG was well under at around 1038. Still not bad for a stout.

That'll teach me.

Do yourself a favour and get some proper Salter digital ones. You can get a decent set for about £20 on amazon including postage.
