This was the brew I did yesterday, it's one of Aleman's recipes so it's going to be a good one 8) .

23Ltrs

Malt Bill

Lager Malt 2000g
Marris Otter 2000g
Carapils 70g

Hop Bill
Styrian Golding 5.2% 30g 90 Mins
Styrian Golding 5.2% 30g 15 Mins
Styrian Golding 5.2% 20g steeped in at 80 degrees c

Yeast US-05

Piccy's!

Efficiency was a little lower than expected at at 67.8% so I ended up with 20 Ltrs rather than the 23 I was aiming for.

Looks like a good brweday and a great recipe!

I might 0.5 inch that one for future use!
:D
What sort of IBU's did you get? the Styrians I have are about 4.8% AA....

Cheers!

The IBU was 28

I've never steeped hops at 80C before so can't wait to see what the result will be :D

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your response!

I've steeped few times and the the idea (if not always the result) is to get more hop aroma... I say not always the result becasue the hops used for stteping need to have aroma to pass onto the beer...

I once used hops that didnt have much aroma left due to poor storage (After ourchase) on my part...

I'm sure it'll be great! Keep us posted!

:D
