Its been a while, but I am now back in the saddle..
Due to an enforced brewing hiatus (new baby, wife with gall stones in hospital etc etc) I have now taken the plunge bought a 25kg sack of pale malt for the first time (usually bought per brew) and am setting about getting the stocks back up before they are decimated again by the family at my little boys 4th birthday party in Feb!
I brewed on Saturday - sorry no pics this time as I wanted to concentrate on the basics (But will put pics up of next brew on Fri!)
Made a Moorehouse Pendle Witch clone from GW's book
Kids and wife out for afternoon, started at 12 noon and finished by 6 - All went like a charm, and even managed to watch one of my new DVD's from my Xmas present the Carry on Films Boxset.. Babs Windsor's bikini flying off in "Carry on Camping" accompanied by a cup of coffee and the smell of boiling wort.. lovely!
The introduction of star san into my brew saves time and makes things really easy!
Its fermenting away nicely and looks like its going to be a cracker!
I'm sure I'll be back with loads of daft questions soon to the forum.. but for now I'm just glad to be back brewing!
