2.00 Unit(s)Whirlfoc Tablets Fining 15 Min.(boil)
2.00 Oz Corriander Seed Spice 0 Min.(boil)
1.50 Oz Bitter Orange Peel Spice 0 Min.(boil)
1.00 Oz Ginger Root Spice 0 Min.(boil)

Yeast - White Labs WLP400 Belgian Wit Ale

Notes:
Add orange peel, coriander and ginger at flame out and leave for 20mins to
infuse. Corriander crushed - 40gr, Curaco Orange - 35gr, Fresh Ginger Root - 25gr

Never done one of these before and just fancied something different.
All tucked up, nice and warm with bubbles already coming thru the blow-off tube.
Only a 3 hour lag from pitching a 4 litre starter. :D
Was really confused by the spice thing as there seems to be varying ideas on quantities of the corriander and the orange peel.
Hope it turns out ok. Don't fancy putting 50lt down the drain.

Really important that wort temp is dropped quickly after boil (use a cooling coil) as I left stuff cool down slowly and it's tasted like soup....

Two weeks in primary with a very steady fermentation.
I didn't have chance to keg/bottle during the week and its dropped right down to 1.006
So that makes its about 5.4 abv , a bit strong for style but we'll see how it progresses.

Plenty of orange nose and flavour in there and the ginger has subsided when tasted after one week for a gravity check.
2 cornies, 16 x500ml, 8 x33ml, 2 x1lt - that's a good yield.

I've read it's best to drink this young but at 5.4% it must have some shelf life.
Hoping to keep a cornie for a summer bbq.
