Blue pumpkin love story

Once upon a time... yesterday afternoon to be precise I asked myself the same question: Will I ever brew 'normal' beer?!
Everything was going really well this time. All I had was some lager malt, Golding hops, armed with WLP005 nothing could go wrong...
and then in my friend's house I saw her...
It was love at first sight and I knew that the best place for her is my mash tun!
"Ouchhhh!!!!! I tHouGht yUo sAId you LOVed mE?!!!"
"I love you to bits" I said, "square bits generously sprinkled with dark brown sugar, roasted at 200 C for 60min."
So in the end it was
3500g Lager malt
400g Carapils
1800g pumpkin
Mashed at 65c
Goldings 5.22% 55g 60min.
Goldings 5.22% 50g 8min.
Goldings 5.22% 50g 3min.
Goldings 5.22% 50g 0min.
and billions of brave WLP005 waiting for some action
The wort was very cloudy, I doubt it was my pumpkin's fault (she was very loyal and would never do that to me!)
and if it was she paid the ultimate price anyway!
