Beer list now available on 'spoons site.
http://www.jdwrealale.co.uk/ales/rooste ... y-yank-151

"This beer was created by Gareth Lester-Oliver, a home brewer who won the National Homebrew Competition, in 2010, and has been re-created exclusively for this Wetherspoon real-ale festival. This is an impressive IPA-style beer, with aromas of tropical fruit and a long, aromatic finish."

Hops used Cascade, Nelson Sauvin, Riwaka
A change from your Amarillo and Cascade?

Thanks a lot guys, I'm really stoked. Unfortunately JDW have spelled my name and the name of my beer wrong, and got the hops wrong too. It's definitely Cascade and Amarillo, I broke up the bricks of compressed hops myself before they went into the copper. Nice one JDW..

This gives me a reason to go find a weatherpoons. Or two. Top effort, great pics. A mate of mine recently started a brewery and my jealousy is killing me.

We have two spoons here so The mumbler and I are ona mission to request/sample/drink it.

AWESOME brewday - make you want to go pro?

Looks like the info's been corrected (though maybe not your name) and now says Angry yank and gives cascade and amarillo as the hops.

I live in Harrogate myself and we're blessed with 2 great breweries in Daleside and Roosters, from looking at the pictures I'm really impressed with the set-up and scale of the Roosters Brewery. It must have been a real "Jim'll Fix-it" moment having your own beer made there

Thanks lads! Today is the first day of the festival so it should be available in at least some JDW's as of today.
Has anyone tried it? I'm dying to see how it came out! My local is only putting it on on Saturday, so I'll have to wait until then to give it my £0.02..

I had a couple of pints of Angry Yank last night when we were out at the pub quiz at The Back of Beyond in Reading. Definitely my favourite of the beers I tried, so great job!

I hadn't seen this thread until today - I was googling for the beer to see if I could find some hints on brewing it for myself...
