Pics of my first ag1#] a hogs back T.E.A clone 25litre og1044

Recipe as follows;

pale malt 4303gms

crystal malt 349gms

Hops 90 min boil

35gms fuggles

33gms goldings
+10gms last 15 mins +protofloc

calculated 78c strike temp to reach 68c

90min mash

sparge at 78c til 32 litres (or 1012) i lost count slightly of the amount of 5 litre jugs i used (1 litre under)

all went well 1.5c under strike (my fault should have let temp settle after doughing in added a 500ml of cold water) added 1.5 litres of hot from boiler (67.2c)

boiled for 75 mins then added aroma hops then protofloc for final fifteen mins (volcanic boil with one element one tripped out after an hour just turned other on fine)

put in chiller in for ten minutes

turned off boiler

chiller on and down to 29.5 in 15 mins

another 5 mins then opened tap to fermenter (checked og 1044 maybe just under)

24c aerated for ten mins the pitched in yeast 24 litres total (think i shut tap early on boiler seeing all hops etc in boiler

looks good smells great

finished at 1am fri morning

have just dropped into secondary down to 1024

had a sip out the hydrometer jar lovely mmm lovely and hoppy

will look at water treatment but looks scary (more reading)

have posted pics with comments

Well done, looks like a very succesful brew day.

I would be wary of using 4 ways extension sockets though. We brewers put a lot of load through our electricity connections and these are not always up to the job.
