This is going to be the growing up the yeast for an IIPA I make in a couple of weeks, decided to go with US-05. Also wanted it to be quite an easy drinker so the IBUs are not high for what it is. Also Bobek is not exactly an american hop but I think they will go together well.

First time using Pellets as well with the Cascade. The Beersmith brewsheet makes me look extra organised...

The Cascade when I took them out of the freezer smelled a bit mince, was I worried that was just a pellet thing. But now they are heating up they smell great.

The wort looks very nice, good and pale, should be a nice summer quaffer although the IBU is probably pretty high with those quantities, what does it come out at, I didn't see the figure?

I LOVE Cascade and Bobek together. They are my favourite combo so far. That's going to be a superb beer. Nice to have a fridge too. Will really help the S05 to drop out.

It is getting crash chilled tonight, so the yeast should drop out nicely. The IBUs come.out about 30, so its not that high.

I will take a picture for you when i get in pdtnc.

There you go mate. It is nothing special, the only thing thats a bit different, thats kind of hard to see is that it has 4 15mm drainage points because I brew so many hoppy beers, if I have drainage points that are either too small or not enough if I had one 15mm point then the drainage would be too slow if I had 400g of leaf hops in the bottom, the extra points mean the run off is really quick, and if I tilt the boiler the dead space is only 600ml.

Good to see someone using this hop combo.
I just used Bobek for the 1st time and love it.
I figured it would work well with cascade, glad to see I'm thinking in the right direction!

Thanks, I just wanted to see how you'd done the mesh, I need to make something myself.

Crimped it with a pair of plyers and cut a wee hole for the outlet. Not very high tech.
