Arapahoe Pale Ale

Got this brew on yesterday, after much head scratching on the recipe.

I'm trying the American hops out at the minute. This is the first time I've used Centennial and Citra and I've combined them with Cascade for a fruity summer thirst quencher. While I was checking out Centennial on google, I noticed that it is the main city in Arapahoe County, Colorado and thought it would be a cool name for this brew. Also noticed on google maps that the nearest city to Centennial is Aurora, which is strange. I nearly used some Aurora in this brew but decided against it at the last minute. Was considering using Liberty too, but save it for next time.

5.00 Kg MO pale malt
0.25 Kg Cara hell
0.25 Kg Munich
0.10 Kg Cara pils
0.10 Kg Torrefied wheat

45 IBU target
20g Centennial At start of 60 min boil
10g Cascade 20 min hops
10g Citra 15 min
10g Centennial 10 min
20g Cascade 10 min
20g Citra 5 min
20g Citra 80C steep

This came in at 1053 a little below target but close enough.

Yeast is 3rd gen. us05, which is frothing out of the fv and all over the utility room floor this morning.
