Brewday Sun 15 April - Crowd Pleaser
Brewday Sun 15 April - Crowd Pleaser
My second AG brewday will be tomorrow, im doing this:

The only difference is that i'm upping the batch size from 23L to 25L so i'm upping ingredients accordingly and using 4.9kg pale malt then 82g then 16g Goldings.
From reading the threads this brew is called various things such as Wheelers Carolines Ale, i've gone for Crowd Pleaser as i'm hoping it will be a brew that most of my family and friends will enjoy.
I managed 74% eff on my last brew so if i get the same i'd have an OG of 1044 giving about 4.7abv.
Wish me luck for Brewday 2!!

Well i'd got it all wrapped up by 1pm today. Bit dissapointed with my efficiency, used 4.9kg MO and ended up with 25L at 1042 (20 deg) so i get that to 71% managed 74% on my last one and had hoped to improve but oh well, if this goes down to 1008 i'll end up with a 4.6abv beer which is about right anyway. Yeast starter pitched just waiting for lift off now
