I decided to brew a pumkin ale ?don't know why I've never tasted it :D any way in picture format....
Image
The grain ready to
Hops weighed out Kent goldings 60min and northern brewer 30 min
Image
I then roasted the pumpkin on 180c for about half an hour covered it with light brown sugar first
I'm supprised I didn't eat it when it came out :wink
Image
Then I had a brew for energy
Image
Heated up my strike water i use brew pal on my I phone to work out the temp and amount , it's a great help with brew Day
Image
Image
After an hour in the mash tunImage after my first runnings I fill my boiler
Image
And now to the boil make sure it doesn't boil over I stir in the hot break Image
oh I almost..
forgot it ... I added the pumpkin to the boiler for 90 mins
Image
I got a nice boil going although the pumpkin must of made the temp to high and after an hour my boiler cut out, for 5
mins..Image
I added nutmeg, cinnamon , and all spice to the boil with 10mins to go, I also added whirlfloc, and my chiller
And then chilled it
Image FV
took my gravity and pitched the yeast =D> what a day ..

I just hope it's good the mess was crazy to clean up but it's bubbling away now so happy days [-o<

I went through a similar thought process as you last year, brewed 10 gallons from brewing classic styles and ended up dumping a keg. I would recommend bottling it. The flavour was not bad but it's an occasional beer.
