Super clear wort!

Post by guypettigrew » Sun Jun 26, 2011 10:36 am

just started sparging and, for the first time, the wort is running beautifully clear from the very start!

No idea what's different about this brew, so I'll have to have a good think and see if I can remember if I've done anything different.

It's not a complicated recipe. 4 kilos of pale malt ang 500g of amber malt.

Running like a dream, though!

Did you change your mash technique? If I manage to leave the grain bed undisturbed when sparging I get clear wort, but if the grain moves around it ends up more cloudy.

Do you normally have wheat in your recipe?
