I started brewing at 4am this morning just finished the boil, the wort is now chilling shouldn't take long as it's freezing up here. went with seymours recipe for a APA
4050 grams pale malt
150grams scotch oats
460grams caramalt
500grams brown soft sugar
magnum 31grams 60mins
amarillo 31grams 60mins
amarillo 13grams 30mins
amarillo 28grams 5mins
amarillo 25grams FWH
uso5 yeast
smells good

i know its been a while but here's some photos
grain shot
hops amarillo and magnum. amarillo not marked up but be sure thats what they are!
didn't take many in between but here's the mash on all tucked up for 60mins
FWH amarillo yummy best smelling hops ever
spent grains ready for the recycle bin
final bit of run wort
boil over after a good cold break and a rapid chill.

all i can say is magnum and amarillo are so awesome. this is my best beer to date. just kegged the lot and had 3 pints straight out the fermenter. tasted worse shop bought bottled beer. nice one seymour. right im off for some more amarillo. i dont mind paying for it either because there lovely

Good news, that's cool. And you haven't even seen the awesome, frothy, lacy appearance from the oats that's yet to come with carbonation!

cant wait. trying to find some more amarillo now. the web site on here that was selling the new 2012 crop wants £6.95 just to deliver 100grams of hops fack that

I guess seymourillo is a Seymour recipe? I have Seymour's Cross ready to go into secondary fermentation...Bramling Cross.
