Just followed you now. Your only fault is that you watch RU instead of proper Rugby

Secret test recipe? Getting a bit serious aren't we ;)

Hope it goes well Neil.

Are you putting a cask on the bar at Saltaire this year?

Lol. Just keeping it competitive! lol

Yes, I'm looking to do a red rye US farmhouse ale. Should be interesting :D

All went well. Pretty standard brew-day. Still waiting for the yeast to kick off. The airlock is showing signs of pressure within the FV but no visible signs of fermentation on the surface of the wort yet. The wort smells amazing though. I've read about el dorado having a red jolly rancher type flavour and I could totally pick that out when smelling the wort. :D

Yeah! Got a bit snap happy! :-) 1.056 ! Not sure on the potential attenuation for this yeast but working on 75-78 ish.

Fermenting away nicely! The eagle eyed will notice fermentor hops! :D

Aromas of passion fruit, mango, papaya coming from the airlock! Delicious!

Do you know what the NHB yeast actually is Neil? I presume Rob hasn't started producing dried yeast himself...

Any report on how it compares to say US05 would be appreciated.

Good luck with the competition matey! I've got some of Rob's English Ale Yeast to try a split brew comparison with, it'll be good to hear how the one you're using performs.
