I thought I had given him the right pointers. Now all I need to do is get him onto Jims!

Yeah that does look like a pretty sa-weet setup! Home made?
Re: My mates first brew day
He seems to be having a good time. You must've given him some pointers?
Re: My mates first brew day
Yep cut his holes himself. I think most of his learning was off thbf. I have now given him a few more pointers based on AG1AceMcAce wrote:Yeah that does look like a pretty sa-weet setup! Home made?

Maybe stop calling him a mate?greenxpaddy wrote: Now all I need to do is get him onto Jims!
Obviously well coached though.

Re: My mates first brew day
Well, calling him a mate doesn't seem to have worked, or am I wrong and he's on here now? If so, I'd be pleased should you be willing to accept my most sincere apologies.greenxpaddy wrote:whats up with that?Eric wrote:Maybe stop calling him a mate?greenxpaddy wrote: Now all I need to do is get him onto Jims!
Merely a flippant suggestion for, from what I read, his presence may be an extra asset to JBK.

Re: My mates first brew day
He's been abroad since he sent me his thbf link. Be seeing him tomorrow night and will then persuade him to the Jimsbeerkitters way. Maybe you misunderstood. He IS a mate of mine, not just an 'internet liaison'.
Re: My mates first brew day
I think what Eric is saying is that if you stop being his friend maybe he will move over here to make you be his friend again. Like we used to do when we were 10.
Right Eric?
Right Eric?

That's how I read it too Matt, although I can see it could be misinterpreted. As Harry Enfield's scousers would say - "Calm down, calm down!"
Re: My mates first brew day
This has taken on a Norman Bates vibe. Matt, do you walk around the house talking in an old lady's voice?

Re: My mates first brew day
This thread is now about mates, apparently.... Did I miss something? The opening post seemed quite innocent.
I wish I had some mates Here I sit, all alone, drinking my brown booze, all alone. Trip to the cinema, yes that's right, just the one ticket please, I'm on my own sigh
