AG#09 - Spudbok SmokeR II

Haven't posted a brewday for a while as my laptop needed repair and all my pics were on there but it's back so I can catch up.

So I brewed another rauchbier on 16th Feb to the following recipe:

6kg Smoked Malt
750g Pale Malt, Maris Otter
250g Carafa III
62g Hallertauer Hersbrucker
1/4 Protofloc
1pkg Munich Lager (Wyeast Labs #2308)
21 litre brewlength

Mash started at 69 and fell to 66 but that was after I had realised that I had not wrapped my coolbox mashtun hence the temp drop, anyway, OG finished at 1063 and this dropped to 1014 so from Beersmith I should be looking at 6.5% which is close to what I wanted. It will be 6 weeks in the keg this weekend so should be ready to drink...
