After a couple of busy weekends and a very full August ahead i've managed to wangle a double brew weekend. 8)

The plan is:

Saturday - TLC Twist
Sunday - Grumpy Bum

These are the two brews that go down the best, in fact I have a TLCTwist sat in a Corny ready to take to a party in a couple of weekends time.

Both 25L batches calculated at 75% efficiency using Safale s04 and a whirlfloc tablet 10 mins from the end.

TLC Twist.

5000.00 gm Marris Otter Grain 95.6 %
130.00 gm Wheat, Torrified Grain 2.5 %
100.00 gm Crystal Malt Grain 1.9 %
41.00 gm Northdown [6.50%] (90 min) Hops 26.0 IBU
25.00 gm Styrian Goldings [3.00%] (90 min) Hops 7.3 IBU
25.00 gm Styrian Goldings [3.00%] (15 min) Hops 3.8 IBU
25.00 gm Styrian Goldings [3.00%] (0 min) Hops -

Grumpy Bum.

4130.00 gm Marris Otter Grain 91.0 %
410.00 gm Crystal Malt Grain 9.0 %
60.00 gm Northdown [6.50%] (90 min) Hops 40.0 IBU
25.00 gm Styrian Goldings [2.00%] (15 min) (Aroma Hop-Steep) Hops

I'll stick some pic's on when I brew, suggestions as always welcome and wish me luck! [-o<

Hi Wes
I like the look of the TLCtwist
But what does the Nortdown offer to the brew compared to Fuggles / Goldings etc

I'm slightly dissapointed here Wez. You've done a pre brewday post and it's still on it's first page, usually there'd be at least six pages by now!

I like the look of the TLC twist though.

The first time I did this brew I used Fuggles, the next time my local micro who supply me with hops didn't have Fuggles but suggested I try Northdown instead the result was a good brew which tasted a bit cleaner / fresher so i've stuck with Northdown.
